Hemp Extract oil finds its roots in the hemp plant. Using supercritical CO2, a paste-like material is extracted out of the plant. Then, to convert it into liquid form, it’s suspended in a carrier oil like MCT oil or hemp seed oil. By law, hemp can’t contain any more than 0.03% THC.  Hemp Extract oil is, in fact, legal in each of the 50 states. This has been the case ever since the 2018 Farm Bill was enacted; you see, with the passage of this bill, the hemp plant went from being classified as a controlled substance to being considered an agricultural commodity. Many people report using hemp extract oil to boost their physical health and mental well-being.

While there are many products out on the market that contain hemp extract oil, we’ll be focusing our discussion on hemp extract oil tinctures. With these, you’re consuming straight oil instead of using something like a capsule or lotion. Tinctures come in the form of a dropper bottle. They can come in a wide assortment of different flavors, such as coconut, orange, peppermint, and vanilla. If a tincture is labeled as unflavored, it’ll have an earthy, herbal taste.

How to ingest hemp extract oil

Ultimately, it comes down to what it says on the bottle. However, with every tincture out there, you’ll place a small amount into your mouth using the dropper that’s included with the bottle. Some products will tell you to specifically put the oil under your tongue to speed up the time that it takes to enter your bloodstream. However, since hemp extract oil tinctures don’t contain alcohol, this measure might not be entirely necessary. In fact, if it’s more your style, you can opt to consume the oil by placing a drop of it in your morning coffee or tea.

How dosage works with hemp extract oil

When it comes to hemp extract, there really aren’t any strict guidelines when it comes to dosage. However, a little goes a long way, so it’s recommended that you start out small. Each of our bodies are different, so the necessary amount will vary amongst people. With that being said, taking a large quantity of it all at once won’t necessarily yield a more intense level of effects. This is because our bodies can only emit so many responses before they essentially just ignore hemp extract. Some people don’t feel intense effects right away and need to allow the hemp extract to build up in their system through daily doses. Others, especially those who use hemp extract to help fight stress, prefer just to take it on occasion.

There really isn’t all that much to master surrounding the ingestion of hemp extract oil, so there’s no need to feel nervous when consuming it for the first time. Hemp Extract oil won’t cause you to feel high and is regarded as both safe and well-tolerated. When it comes down to it, there aren’t any rights or wrongs for how you choose to take your oil.
